Finding The Positive

It can be so easy to dwell on the negative things in life.

Bad things happen, people may hurt you, relationships can fail, opportunities get missed, or you don't find success at something that is important to you.

This life. These things happen to all us, but that doesn't make it any easier to deal.

Sometimes all we want is a second chance, but the simple truth is that we only get once chance at life. We have to make the best of the decisions we make and the cards that we are dealt.

If you are lucky enough to receive a second chance - take it and run with it!

It's important to focus on the positives in life. If you look hard enough, you will always find something to be grateful for.

When I'm in a negative mood, I like to make a list of the positives - things that I'm grateful for.
It really helps to put life in perspective for me.

- my husband
- the blessing of being a mother
- love of my family
- the best girlfriends
- a home to live in
- a car to drive
- a steady income
- my health

I don't have everything that I want in life but I love and appreciate everything that I have. It is enough.

There is a lesson to be learned from every situation. Even when it is hard to find that lesson, keep looking.

I believe that happy is a state of mind  and while it may be difficult at times you can find sunshine in each day.
