Wednesday Weigh In {Week 4}

Hey everyone! How's it going? It's Wednesday and I hope you are all here to talk about your fitness!

If you are linking up today, I kindly ask that you grab this button and place it either on your side bar or in your post! The code is under the button in my side bar!

 photo laceybutton2_zpsaa15cc93.png

I am feeling good about myself and the choices I've made in the last week. They haven't been perfect, and I"m sure they never will be, but I have been working hard to control my portion sizes, stay away from the really yummy stuff, and I've been drinking nothing but water and coffee! Sorry y'all, I'm not giving up my coffee. Two days without any soda though! Yep, I'm patting myself on the back.

So here is my weigh in:

Photobucket

205.8 pounds. Yesterday I was weighing in at 204.4 - I'm feeling bloated today for some reason and I think that has had an effect on the scale, but whatever. It's less than last week and I've promised myself and y'all to be true and show y'all my weigh ins on Wednesday. With my fluctuations over the last few weeks, I've lost a total of 1.8 pounds. I'm not really happy with this, but it's a process. So let's keep moving forward.

I found a new app that I'm really loving and I wanted to share that with y'all today.

It's called the Simple Weight Recorder and it looks like this:

Photobucket

It really is just THAT simple. You go in and punch in your weight and it keeps track of everything. You can see a graph chart under the history tab too. I love this. I used to not weigh myself on the daily but now I do just to enter it into this little app. It's a fun reminder for me. Soo check it out if you think something like this would motivate you. It is a free app!

So last week I told you guys that I wanted to talk about motivators for losing weight. Why do you want to lose weight?

These are my motivators:
  • To feel good in my skin again. To be confident again.
  • To not loathe getting dressed.
  • To buy new clothes :)
  • To be healthy & be able to run and keep up with my kids
  • To look feel sexy for my husband
  • To set a good example

So friends, share with me how you are doing this week! What motivates you to loose weight?

Thanks for being here & linking up each week!

Wednesday Weigh In {Week 3}

Hello sweet friends! How are ya? I'm feeling so energetic this morning and it has nothing to do with the two cups of  coffee I've had so far! I actually got about 11 hours of sleep last night which is so very rare for me. I'm lucky to get 6 hours a night and in all actuality 3 or 4 hours is more likely!

Anyhow, we're here for the Wednesday Weigh In and I'm so happy that you guys are linking up with me! Keep up the good work!

So my weigh in this morning was pretty...crappy! I was expecting it though to be honest, I could feel it! I did okay  this week but I made some bad choices and I knew it when I was making them. The scale reflected that this morning. I have lots of excuses as to why I did things the way I did but we all know that excuses aren't worth much, right?

Yea, so I'm only .2 lbs less than I was on week one and that sucks! However, I've got a plan!! Planning helps me to stay on track so I'm going to spend some time today going through my fitness board on pinterest and making a list of foods I should be eating. Doing this will help me when I am grocery shopping and menu planning. Plus if I have a list of "approved" foods then I will be more likely to make a healthy choice.

How do you keep yourself on track?

Next Wednesday I want to talk about the reasons why I want to loose weight and I'd love it if you joined in on the conversation. Let's talk about what our motivators are!

Since I need some motivation right now I'm going to link up with Michelle @ The Vintage Apple for Oh How Pinteresting! and show y'all some of my favorite fitness related pins!

Wednesday Weigh In {Week 2}

Hey Girl Hey! It's Wednesday ~ how y'all doing?

I'm excited for week 2 of Wednesday Weigh In and I'm excited that y'all are here to link up! If y'all have any suggestions or want to see a certain topic for a Wednesday Weigh In post, please let me know. As for today, we're going to talk a little bit about excuses.

Okay, so EXCUSES. We all have the right? We can't work out because we're too busy, tired, can't afford a gym membership, etc. We don't eat right because healthy food is too expensive, takes too long to prepare, the rest of your family won't eat that food, etc.

Photobucket

We all have these excuses. You know what I've realized though? For every excuse I come up with there is someone out there who had that very same excuse and they persevered. They did it anyway. They succeeded. I want that to be me; but it's not easy!

Where there is a will, there is a way.

If you want something bad enough you will make it happen. If you don't, you'll make excuses.

It's true!

Photobucket

So no more excuses y'all. Decide what you are going to do and just do it. What are you waiting for anyway? You've got this!

Alright, so last week I weighed in at 207.6.
I'm happy to report a loss this week!

Photobucket

Yay, 1.6 pounds, GONE FOREVER!!!

I made a few small changes this week and failed to change a few other things!
I worked hard to lower my portion sizes as well as to eat healthier foods. I was still eating the things that I loved but I prepared them a bit different to help lower the fat and calories I was consuming.
I also slowed down on my soda intake! Yesterday, I had one glass of soda. ONE! I'm trying to get back to not drinking them at all.

Something else I did this week was to substitute zero calorie sweetener and plain powdered creamer in place of my whole milk and regular sugar in my coffee. I drink a crap ton of coffee and this small change has drastically reduce the number of calories per cup. Guess what? Tastes the same.

We did eat out twice this week which was most definitely not in the plan. I'm also still craving all theses sweets that I was baking over the holidays. I'm having a hard time resisting!

What successes did you have this week regarding your fitness goals? What is something you struggled with?

Link up with me! Share any fitness related posts - you don't have to weigh in or post your weight! Let's help each other succeed!

Wednesday Weigh In {A New Link Up}

So if you've been hanging out around here for awhile you'll probably remember when I started doing a weekly Wednesday weigh in on this here blog. It all started back in July when I was determined to lose weight and get in shape for my first 5K. I hung in there for a good two months or so and I was seeing some results, but then, I just stopped. Now, not only have I gained all the weight that I lost back, but I've gained even more. Even More.

That little weekly weigh in and all of the encouragement I was receiving from each of you really held me accountable. I felt as though I had a great support system with lots of friends cheering me on. With weight loss, you need that extra support and encouragement! I don't know how I got off track but I"m ready to climb aboard again.

With the start of the new year a lot of us are making resolutions and so many of us have "lose weight" as a top priority. So I'm starting up my Wednesday Weigh In posts again and this time I'm opening it up as a link up party. I want to create a place for you to come and share your triumphs and road blocks. I want to create a source of inspiration to help us through those tough days. I hope to forge a bond between all of us through encouragement and support. I want to hold you accountable. I want you to hold me accountable.

So, I'll go first. I got on the scale this morning and this is what I saw. (insert panic attack)

Photobucket

Sorry, I know the picture quality is bad - darn cell phones. If you can't see it - the number reads 207.6. Yup, this is my "I ate way too much good yummy sweet stuff because I have no self control over the holidays and now I"m sad that the holidays are over because all the yummy sweet stuff is gone" weight

The number on that scale sucks. The way I look and feel, sucks. So, it's time to do something about it.

Photobucket

Photobucket

So here it is friends; I'm asking that you link up with me every Wednesday in an effort to encourage ourselves and others to get healthy and happy. There are no real rules to this link up. You do not have to post your weight every week. If you are posting about your weight loss struggles, victories, diet, meals, etc., then please join me!

The only thing I ask is that your follow along via GFC (or whatever works for you) and that you put the link up button in your side bar or in your blog post.

Let's kick our weight loss into high gear!

NOT a Wednesday Weigh In

Okay, so obviously you already know there is going to be something different about this post just by reading the title. So here it is: I'm not weighing in today. I'm just gonna tell y'all - I'm back up to almost 199 pounds this week and I'm a wee bit ticked off. So, instead of getting pissy and throwing my hands in the air and giving up, I"m getting a little help. I'm getting lipo. Kidding.

I am however getting a little help from a company called Creative Bioscience. Creative Bioscience has offered to sponsor me in a 90 day weight loss challenge and I will be supplied with a free 90 day supply of their hCG 1234.

I've chosen the hCG 1234 for two reasons.

1) I've followed along with my friend Courtney on her journey with this product and she had fabulous results!
2) I've tried hCG (NOT through Creative Bioscience) before and it WORKS. I just didn't stick with it.

Creative Bioscience carries a wide range of products to help you meet your weight loss goals. You can find more information about Creative Bioscience here and more information about hCG 1234 here.

I'm really excited to begin this journey and hopefully shed these extra pounds for good. With the support of Creative Bioscience, you, my lovely readers and the sheer drive to get rid of the weight, I know that all of this will be in my rear view mirror soon.

Blogger friends! Are you interested in joining me on a 90 day challenge? If you would like to join me on this journey and chronicle your results on your blog, go here to sign up!

Creative Bioscience is sponsoring me in the 90 day weight loss challenge. They have provided me with a 90 day supply of hCG 1234 to use and review. All opinions are 100% my own.

Wednesday Weigh-In

Well hello there sweet friends!! I hope you are all doing well on this fine Wednesday. I'm not. I feel like  shit, but I'm trying to make the best of it...when I'm not calling my husband whining for him to come home and take care of me.

It's Wednesday, so of course you know what that means...I was dreading my weigh in this morning even though I've been "on my game" this past week. I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped up on my scale though! Love it when that happens.

I'm down 1 pound this week. I talked last week about how I was going to only drink water and lots of it. I can actually say I really stuck to this. I think only 3 times I drank either a glass of iced tea (sweetened with Stevia) or water with 0 calorie water flavoring.

I also talked about going for morning runs and not once did that happen. I've been working out in my living room but I promised myself I'd get out and go for a run. I'm doing The Color Run in about eight weeks AND I found out recently that I'll be doing the TXU Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. That's two 5K's in less than two weeks. Who the hell am I??? Anyway, I ran leisurely walked the Turkey trot last year and it was a blast. Side note: if you are a Houston area blogger and you are interested in participating in the trot, email me!

So the moral of the story here folks is this: I need to get my ass in gear and at least attempt to get myself ready for these two races. So...a little pinspiration for me and hopefully you too!

Wednesday Weigh-In

Howdy! Before I get started on the 'ol Wednesday Weigh-In I have a few announcements/things I want to bring to your attention.

I guest posted over at Country Roots City Living yesterday and like the genius dingbat that I am, I forgot to tell y'all about it. Would you mind popping over and leaving me some guest post love?

I also had the pleasure of guest posting for Mom It Forward and my post is live on their site today. I'm talking D.I.Y Beauty. If you have a moment to go over and comment or share the post, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm really hoping they will invite me back again sometime.

Last, but certainly not least, have y'all entered my giveaway yet? It ends soon!

All In My Twenties

Alright, back to the business at hand. You may or may not have noticed but, I didn't check in last week. I almost didn't check in today either. To be honest, I just...

Yet, here I am again. The worst part y'all? I have been really watching what I eat AND I've been exercising 6 days a week! SIX!

First, let's look at the kinds of things I've been eating shall we?

Roasted Cauliflower: A head of cauliflower tossed in about a tablespoon of olive oil and sprinkled with Tex Joy (steak seasoning). Put in the oven (350*) uncovered for about 40 minutes or until you can easily put your fork in it!

Sauteed Spinach: A large bunch of fresh spinach and one diced clove of garlic sauteed in about 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil. Salt & pepper to taste.

This was my lunch today:

All of my meals have seriously been healthy! Not to mention that it's been about 2 1/2 months since I've had even a sip of soda!

I'm also on day 10 of the #mamavation #2weekchallenge. This is where the 6 days a week work outs come in. I feel like I'm pushing myself but not killing myself with these workouts either. I'm extremely sore from each and every workout.
AND STILL..

I guess you could say I've maintained since I'm only up .2 pounds but this is getting so frustrating!! I'm really putting forth a lot of effort and I"m not getting anything in return. In the beginning I was losing 1-2 pounds a week and I was happy with that. I am NOT happy with this.

This week I'm going to do a few things differently to see if it helps.

1) WATER only WATER.

I've been drinking lots of water but also unsweet tea & 0 calorie flavored waters.

2) Morning or Afternoon Runs

The weather has been amazing here lately and I've been itching to go for a run. I will MAKE this a priority this week.

Do you have any tips for me? Is there something more or different that I could be doing?

Wednesday Weigh-In

*SIGH* Y'all, I need help. I've pretty much had a crappy week and I almost completely forgot about today's weigh in. Pair that with the fact that I've had my fair share of birthday cake this week and I knew I was in trouble.

Last week I did so good! This week, not so much.
I gained AGAIN; .8 pounds!  Apparently that is the magic number when it comes to gaining around here.

I realize that my gain wasn't even a whole pound but hear me out. This is what I do every single time I start to make progress. I get comfortable. I feel like it's coming off easily and I just relax. I cannot relax right here. I haven't even lost 10 pounds yet and my ultimate goal is to loose 50!!

You have all been so amazing with the sweet comments & emails and I love each and every one of you for your kind and encouraging words. I read them and I get a little teary eyed or my heart gets bigger with happiness. No, I'm not exaggerating. I'm a sap and women helping other women, especially women who don't even know one another, just makes my heart sing.

Unfortunately, after I've closed my computer and I am in the thick of what is going on around all around me, things that are sometimes out of my control, I turn to food. It's the whole reason why I'm fat y'all. When I'm sad, pissed, confused or at a total loss, I eat. I've hit every one of those emotions this past week.

So what I'm getting at is this: If y'all think about me through the next week could you pop up and say something like "Hey, put that chocolate chip cookie down!" Or maybe, "Hey, how about you get up off that couch and do that ab workout, hmm?" I promise I won't get pissed. I will thank you, over and over again.

Feel free to embarrass me on twitter or facebook. If you'd prefer to do it quietly then you can always email me. I would be happy to return the favor for any of you. I just need to have my ass kicked this week!

I hope you all did much better than I did and here is to making progress next week!

Wednesday Weigh-In

Wow! I cannot believe it has already been 6 weeks since I started this little weekly weigh in series! The time has gone by really fast! Thank you to all of you for your continued support and love, it means the world!

So when I first told y'all of my plans to run a 5K I weighed in at 205 pounds! My weight loss has been slow going but I'm right on track. Today, I'm weighing in at:

After gaining weight last week I came back with a vengeance! I lost 2.2 pounds this week which puts me down a total of 7.4 pounds!! I'm only 2.6 pounds away from my first 10 pound goal! This is HUGE for me!! Some of you said that maybe my little gain last week was exactly what I needed to kick me into high gear. I wouldn't go so far to say that I went into "high gear" but I definitely got my crap together this week. So, you were RIGHT. It helped!

I concentrated this week on eating better, eating less and being more active. It worked. Imagine that! I'm headed to the grocery store right after I finish this post to stock up on fruits and veggies for the next week or so. When I get home I will start preparing some of them. I find it easier to make good food choices if those choices are convenient and already prepared. So I'll spend a little time steaming veggies and cutting up and storing fruit for easy access.

So for the next two weeks my goal is to drop the 2.6 pounds needed to make my first 10 pound goal. I'd like to think I could do it in just one week, but I don't want to get my hopes up and end up disappointed in myself. I keep trying to remind myself that slow and steady wins the race.

And now, a little inspiration:

I hope you all had a successful week! Remember, we're in this together!
