Pipeline Pizza - A Restaurant.com #ReviewCrew Review

As a member of the Restaurant.com #ReviewCrew I was compensated for this review. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are honest and 100% my own.

A few weeks ago Chris and I decided that we wanted to try out a new restaurant; we hopped onto Restaurant.com to see what we could find. Pipeline Pizza wasn't too far from home and pizza sounded good so we purchased a $15 Restaurant.com gift code for just a few bucks and headed out.

When we arrived, I realized that Pipeline was a brand new place - I was even more eager to try it out then! Once inside, we were greeted by friendly counter staff who helped us with the ordering process. There are menus inside the door - you just order at the counter and choose a seat. Easy peasy. Below is a shot of the menu - it's not the greatest but I wanted to show y'all all of Pipeline Pizza's offerings. You can also view their full menu online

We started off our meal with the buffalo wings - Chris' choice ;) Now I'm a fan of wings, but I'm also pretty picky about the flavor and texture also. I can tell you that these were spot on. Trust me when I tell you that I fought for my fair share!

I was craving a salad so I ordered a caesar, my favorite. You might be thinking - "a salad is a salad right?" Well, kind of. The thing that stood about this salad for me was the dressing. It tasted house made - so much so that we asked our server about it. We were disappointed when he informed us that it was not and even more so when he wouldn't tell us where we could find it!

I chose this Italian Special Sandwich as my main entree. It was loaded down with meats and vegetables and cheese. You guys, it was amazing - fresh, crunchy, with just the right flavors! It was also giant! I only ate half and saved the rest for lunch the following day!

Chris went with the Chicken Parmesan - one of his favorite meals. This plate was giant; two large pieces of chicken over noodles topped with sauce and a meatball! The chicken was breaded and cooked perfectly with just the right crunch. I hate it when I get a chicken parmesan that is a little soggy! The garlic bread was pretty awesome too.

Between the ambiance, great service, and delicious food - we were really impressed with Pipeline Pizza. Beyond that, the prices were amazing. I'm a little sad that we now live clear on the other side of town from this little gem. If you live in the Houston area, you should definitely look them up!

Restaurant.com is the trusted and valued source connecting restaurants and diners nationwide.  The company offers savings at thousands of restaurants nationwide with more than 50,000 gift certificate options.  Restaurant.com brings people together to relax, converse and enjoy well-prepared and served meals at affordable prices.  To date, Restaurant.com customers have saved more than $1 billion through the gift certificate program.”

New Febreze Sleep Serenity Line (Plus A Giveaway!)

This is a sponsored post by me on behalf of Febreze. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

In my house we're crazy about scents. Any time we cross paths with candles (or something similar) the entire family feels the need to stop and catch a whiff. Many times we've gotten distracted in the home fragrance aisle of our local grocery store and all you hear from us is "mmm!" or "ooo!" Yea - I never claimed that we were normal.

Recently I received an invitation to try out the new Febreze Sleep Serenity collection. Naturally I was excited to test the new products and so was my other half! He is a little "Febreze Happy!" When the package arrived on our door step we ripped into it! We found a bedroom mist, a bedside diffuser, a bedroom diffuser, and bedding refresher!

What is Febreze Sleep Serenity?

"The Sleep Serenity collection is the latest product innovation from Febreze, designed specifically for the bedroom. Its calming scents help create a soothing bedtime atmosphere ideal for relaxation and a more peaceful night's rest."

How does it work?

"The Sleep Serenity line is the first scent developed by Febreze for the bedroom, and features advanced technology that eliminates odor and fills the bedroom with long-lasting, relaxing scents."

The Febreze Sleep Serenity collection comes in three scents: Moonlit Lavender, Warm Milk & Honey, and Quiet Jasmine. We put the Moonlit Lavender bedside diffuser in the kiddos' bathroom which is also connected to their bedroom. The smell was soft and fragrant and just strong enough that it drifted from their bathroom into their bedroom. Our bedroom mist in Warm Milk & Honey is already gone because we loved it so much! Chris sprayed just about everything in site on a daily basis, but I can't blame him. The warm comforting smell is my favorite!

My family has been so impressed with the Febreze Sleep Serenity Collection that I have decided to give away a prize pack to one of you! One lucky reader will receive four full size products in Warm Milk & Honey - my favorite scent from the line!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

We Are A #CartersFam #MC

“I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Carter’s. I received a gift card to facilitate my shopping trip and to thank me for participating.”

When I think of Carter's, I immediately think BABY. It seems like when my daughter was a newborn, every piece of clothing she had was Carter's brand (and she had a lot!).

I've purchased a lot of Carter's over the years, not only for my daughter, but for my son as well. Their clothing has always been functional, durable, and stylish for the little ones. However, as my children have gotten a bit older (4 and 6) the Carter's brand sort of slipped my mind. To be honest, I didn't even know that their clothing line went all the way up to a size 7. I had no idea that I could still buy clothing for my children from a Carter's store

On top of that, I'd never even been into an actual Carter's store. I've always purchased the brand from other retailers (and the kids received a lot of Carter's gifts as well). One of the requirements of participating in this campaign was the ability to shop in store. Wouldn't you know it - there is a Carter's located 1.4 miles from my house! I had no idea! Of course, I did just move back to this area recently, but I was still surprised!

Earlier this week, I, along with my better half went into our local Carter's to see what we could find for our kiddos. We were really excited to see such a great selection in our kids' sizes! The many clearance racks and huge sale that was going on was a total bonus! There were a ton of 50% off racks! That's what I'm talking about!

For less then $100 we scooped up 3 pajama sets, a dress, a tunic, a button up shirt, a pair of boots, and some bracelets. Our Carter's shopping experience was fun and easy - the store was well organized and was staffed with friendly workers. Of course the best part was that we found high quality, affordable, and cute clothing for our children. We'll definitely be back!

"Carter’s, a trusted name in children’s clothing, makes it easy to find cute and thoughtful gifts for little ones this holiday season. Available in sizes newborn – 7, Carter’s proves an easy, one-stop shop for adorable outfits this holiday season."

Now through Christmas eve you can shop in store or online and take an extra 25% off your purchase with the Carter's Friends & Family Event! Use the coupon code in the picture below (online) or click on it to download the coupon to your phone or computer for in store use!

Do you or have you ever shopped at Carter's?

Garden Ranch Pork Chops

If you are anything like me, then there is a good chance that you are often on the hunt for healthier snack options. There are plenty of snacks on the store shelves to choose from, but I want something that actually tastes good  too. Is that too much to ask? No, of course not!

Recently, Green Giant has come out with a new product - Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips. When I first saw them on the store shelves, I was like, "whaaaattt??? Green Giant makes chips? Hmm!" However, I must confess, I've tried all four varieties: Garden Ranch, Multigrain Sweet Potato- Barbecue, Zesty Cheddar, and Multigrain Sweet Potato - Sea Salt. Guess what? I love them. All of them. Is it still a healthy snack if I want to eat the entire bag all at once? I had to work hard to control myself, but an awesome bonus? My kiddos love these chips too! Those two are kind of picky and they like to stick with what they know; I didn't have to twist their arm to eat these Green Giant snacks at all!

Before devouring both bags chips that I received for this review, I decided I'd use them to create something yummy for dinner. I had an idea in my head but I was worried it wouldn't work out or that the family wouldn't like it. Boy, was I wrong!

Oh yes, I used those yummy chips to make a crunchy crust on these delicious pork chops. No added seasoning - just roasted veggie goodness - and they were so good!

I put some Green Giant Garden Ranch Veggie Tortilla chips in a baggie and I let my kiddos crunch them up to their little hearts were content. Meanwhile, I made a simple egg wash - a little egg and a little milk. When the chips were ready I put them in a bowl and began to coat the chops. It's very easy - dip them in the egg wash and then toss them in the chips. After I got a decent coat on the pork chops, I set them on a lightly greased cookie sheet and used the remaining chips to fill in any empty spaces.

I baked these beauties in the oven for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees and they were done to perfection. They turned out to be moist and tender on the inside with a perfect light crunch on the outside. I couldn't believe what a hit these were at the dinner table. It is rare that there are no complaints about what Chef Mom has made for dinner!

How do you incorporate healthy snacks into your menu? Have you tried the new Green Giant Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips?

#CityPASS Makes Site Seeing Easy!

This is a sponsored post brought to you by CityPASS. I received a complimentary CityPASS to use during my trip to Chicago in exchange for the post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When I found out I was going to be traveling to Chicago this summer I knew right away that I was going to want to do some site seeing. I didn't realize, however, how much site seeing I would want to do. When I finally sat down to make a "must see" list, well, let's just say it was a long list. Because of my rigorous schedule I knew that I wouldn't have much time so I wanted to make the most of it. That was one of my top reasons for choosing CityPASS. I knew that CityPASS would not only save me money, but time as well - a.k.a. no waiting in super long lines!

I set the bar high and had hopes of seeing all five attractions that CityPASS gave me access to - however, I only made it to two of them. I just ran out of time. With that being said, I had the BEST time at both the John Hancock Observatory and the Shedd Aquarium

The night I arrived in Chicago, Rachel and I dropped our bags off at our hotel and went straight to the John Hancock Observatory. It was fairly late and the place was not crowded at all, but because we had our CityPASS we didn't have to worry about wasting time to pay, etc. We just showed our pass and got right in the elevator. Let me tell you something, the view from up top is breath taking. I feel like I got some amazing photos, but trust me when I tell you that they do not do this view justice.

I couldn't help thinking while I was there that the observatory would make a great place to go on a date! Hopefully I can twist my husband's arm to go to Chicago with  me someday. I fell in love with the city while I was there and I will go back sooner than later!

The following day we got up early and headed to Shedd Aquarium which I think I was the most excited about out of all the attractions. I love animals and I am fascinated by sea life so it was right up my alley. I had the best time scoping out all of the animals! I even sat down on the steps next to the sea lion's habitat and talked to him for a minute through the glass. Yes, I did.

We didn't have to wait in a long line - outsider OR inside! Yay #CityPASS !

Isn't this turtle the cutest thing ever?

Look, it's Scuba Steve! ;)

The jellies exhibit was hands down amazing. I didn't realize how many different types of jellyfish there are and they were all so beautiful. Their differences in colors and shapes were awesome.

I took a couple videos of the jellyfish and put them on instagram. Check 'em out:

Yea, this guy stole my heart. I totally blocked traffic and sat down to talk to him. How could you possible resist that face?

Okay, lets talk about this Beluga Whale! Isn't he adorable!!?? I hadn't ever seen one up until that point and I was enamored with him. He has quite the personality! Luckily, Rachel was able to grab a video!

Sorry for the picture overload, but we had such a great time with all of the animals! I was really pleased that CityPASS made our site seeing easy and I will definitely grab up another one next time I go to Chicago or anywhere else for that matter. Heck, I know that CityPASS is offered here in Houston and I just might get one to enjoy for a fun weekend!

Have you ever used CityPASS? What's your favorite sea animal?

The Real #JOCKEYbra Fit

This is a sponsored post. I received complimentary product as part of a promotional program with JOCKEY and MomSelect but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Recently I brought to your attention the Jockey Fit Kit - an innovative measurement system from Jockey that measures volume and is meant to give you the best fitting bra possible.

After using the fit kit, I ordered my bra and I chose the JOCKEY Classic Contour. I had a hard time choosing because I've never ordered a bra without trying it on at some point in time. I will say that I'm glad that I chose the classic contour, but I'm anxious to try the other styles as well.

When my bra arrived it came in a box much like a shoe box. It was nicely packaged so that the form of the bra did not lose it's integrity and yes, I"ll admit, I slipped it on right away. I immediately knew that I was going to love this bra.

What I love about the Classic Contour #JOCKEYbra:

This bra is so comfortable. Confession: I hate wearing a bra. I typically don't even put one on unless I'm leaving the house or company is coming over. I know, I know - whatever. I got such a great fit using the new fit kit measurement system that my bra is really and truly comfortable. I'm not constantly adjusting it and I don't have under wires poking me. It's great.

I wore my #JOCKEYbra a lot while I was in Chicago and it really held up! My time in Chicago was filled with engagements and we had five long days in a row. I can't remember once being frustrated by my bra. That's saying something ladies.

One thing that really stands out for me about the Classic Contour #JOCKEYbra are the shoulder straps. They are wide and a bit thicker than a typical bra strap - this means that they are more comfortable too! I never thought I'd actually say that a bra is comfortable. So far however, my #JOCKEYbra is just that.

I'll be sure to let y'all know what I think of the other styles once I've tried them out!

Until then -

What is the most comfortable bra that you've ever worn? Will you try the #JOCKEYbra Fit Kit?

The Schlitterbahn Experience #BahnFever

This review is part of a series of posts sponsored by Schlitterbahn. Complimentary tickets to Schlitterbahn were received in exchange for these posts. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

You might remember a few weeks ago that I was professing my family's love of water parks all over the internet - well we've had a family four pack of Schlitterbahn tickets burning a hole in our pockets for a while now. Yesterday was the day - we finally packed up and headed down to Galveston for a relaxing and family fun day in the sun.

We go to Schlitterbahn a few times a year so we are very familiar with the park and the typical summer crowds. We had hoped to visit during the week in order to avoid the slew of people that come in on the weekend but our schedules just weren't going to allow that. Instead we chose to arrive around the time that the park opened on Sunday. I was quite pleased when we arrived to find that the parking lost was not at all full yet. Always a good sign!

At only 10:30 a.m., the park wasn't crowded at all - it was heavenly!

After spending a small fortune to rent a locker (a necessity) we enjoyed about two glorious hours of no lines or crowds. We took full advantage of being the "early birds" and enjoyed almost every attraction Schlitterbahn has to offer.

My family has two favorite attractions at Schlitterbahn Galveston: The Wolfpack and Thunder River. We spent many hours laughing and screaming along these rides yesterday.

Our overall experience at Schlitterbahn was great, as it usually is. However, I did learn two lessons yesterday. When I gave you tips for surviving a day at the water park I told you that it was absolutely necessary to wear shoes. I said that water shoes are best but that flip flops would do. I would like to formally announce that I was wrong. You see, after we finished up lunch at the table we were leaving our cooler at for the day, my husband decided to leave his flip flops behind as well while we got back into the the thunder river. When we came back - they were gone. Yes, someone stole my husband's $2 Old Navy flip flops. This wouldn't have been so bad except the ground was burning hot and my husband now has blisters on the bottom of his feet. My point? Wear water shoes and don't take them off because foot blisters suck and so do people who steal.

I also learned that Schlitterbahn participates in some sort of international exchange program. A lot of the employees at Schlitterbahn are from foreign countries. Sounds pretty cool right? I think it is too. However, there is apparently a huge language barrier and it makes for a bad experience at times. On more than one occasion yesterday and during visits in the past, we have felt like the lifeguards were incredibly rude at Schlitterbahn. We had an incident yesterday that really upset me but I'm not sure if the lifeguard in question was part of the exchange program. A nice woman was walking the park asking visitors to fill out a survey and she mentioned the exchange program to me and that guests of the park often felt the same way I was feeling about the guards. I felt a bit better afterward knowing that these lifeguards weren't just total jerks, but I still feel like this is an issue that needs to be addressed.

By around 3:30 in the afternoon the crowds were getting thick and my husband and I had endured about all that we could take.

After a fun and excitement filled day, it was time to pack it up and go home. We had two exhausted kiddos on our hands who passed out before we even made it to the freeway. This exhausted mommy was ready to pass out in the passenger seat but I had to keep Daddy company on the long ride home.

We truly love going to Schlitterbahn and we're considering going during the indoor heated season this Fall/Winter to avoid the large crowds. It's something we haven't done before and we hear that it is a much different experience!

Have you ever been to Schlitterbahn in the Off Season?

Find Your Perfect Fit! #JOCKEYbra

This is a sponsored post; I received free product as part of a promotional program with Jockey and MomSelect but all opinions are my own.

It’s happened to me a dozen times. I decide to go in for a bra fitting because I’m way overdue for a new one and the “certified bra fitter” tells me I’m a DD (or some other crazy size that I know I’m not). I give her the side eye, say “Thank you” and “No, I don’t need you to help me pick out the perfect bra,” and then I make a beeline for the exit.

I’m willing to bet that this has happened to you. What’s a woman to do? Wearing the wrong size really sucks if we’re being totally honest here – wires poking into your skin, boobage (that’s boob cleavage, FYI) coming out the bottom, top, or sides of your bra. Obviously it doesn’t fit and it sure as heck isn’t comfortable. You could spend two hours in the fitting room of your favorite department store trying on every bra ever made. You might even find one that feels perfect – only to get it home and by day 3 your new perfect bra now feels like a torture chamber!

LADIES – take a deep breath and relax! I’ve got the answer for you! You need a Jockey Fit Kit! The Jockey fit kit is the first and only system that measures the volume of your breasts. We’re not talking tape measures anymore! This is huge.

So the fit kit comes with 10 different fit cups, a measuring tape, a nifty wash bag to wash (and protect) your unmentionables in, oh and a $20 off coupon code for your Jockey bra purchase! You find the fit cup that best fits your breast (instructions included with your kit on how to do this – even a diagram!); the cups are sized #1 - #10.  Once you find the best fitting cup, you will measure around your rib cage. That’s it – you’ve just found your perfect fit!

I really loved my experience with the fit kit. It was so easy to use and understand – I even took it over to my Mom’s house so she could give it a try! There is one thing that I really love about having this fit kit; bra size tends to change especially with weight loss or gain. If you’ve got the Jockey Fit Kit at home you can get the perfect fit at any time. No running out to the mall to get a “complimentary fitting” that is way off base.

I also made a video about the fit kit on Instagram! Check it out!

You can learn even more about Jockey and their new Fit Kit measuring system on their website.  While you are there, browse through and look at all of their beautiful bras. I’ll be writing a review on my “close to custom” bra soon!
