Strange Creatures, Painting Success, & A Delicious Treat {Weekend Recap}

Hey y'all! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

We were busy around here but it ended up being both a productive and fun filled two days. You might remember that I mentioned that we would be painting the exterior of our home soon. Well, soon was this weekend. On Saturday the hubs & a friend of ours spent the day putting primer on the house.
The kids & I? We went shopping!

While we were at the mall, little man came across this motorcycle and he might have begged that I buy it for him for his birthday! His birthday isn't until November but when he wants something it's always "for his birthday." He has a slight obsession with motorcycles because he wants to be just like his Daddy.

Sunday morning, in preparation for a long hard day of painting, I thought it would be necessary to whip up something tasty for everyone to eat.

Cream Cheese Danishes w/lemon zest. These might be the best little things I've ever eaten - seriously. They are dangerous. The recipe will be up on the blog very very soon {ahem, tomorrow!}.

While we were outside painting,, hubby came across this moth. I don't think I had ever seen one like this before and we were all pretty amazed. It's wings were absolutely gorgeous but it's body was very big with long, fuzzy, spider like legs.
A little creepy to say the least.

You may be hoping to find a picture of the freshly painted house now...but I"m not ready to show you yet! I've got a little finishing touch to add to the front door and then I'll do the reveal - soon! Seems to be a common word throughout this post..

How was your weekend?

  2. I was half thinking I'd work outside our place this last weekend, but the rain had other ideas! It didn't take much convincing for me to have another cup of coffee and read a book.
