Apparently, I Like My Men "Tall"

Howdy friends! Happy Monday to ya! 

I had this big weekend recap post planned for y'all all about how we spent hours picking exterior paint colors for our house, how James ran around acting like a cowboy all weekend, how I got to spend time with both of my parents this weekend and much more..

HOWEVER, we're headed to Rodeo Houston to see my baby girl's favorite ever - Jason "Aljean" (Aldean!) 

When Addison was two, we took her to her first rodeo concert - Jason Aldean!! We really had no idea she was such an Aldean fan, but as soon as she saw him come on the stage, she said to me, "Mommy...he is sooooo tall!!" Well, in case you girlies didn't know - tall is code word for HANDSOME. I knew this girl was just like me the minute she labeled him "tall."

A few days later we took her to see Lady Antebellum and she stole the show! I swear y'all, it was the cutest thing I'd ever seen! She stood in her chair the whole time and just sang and danced. The people all around us were more interested in watching her than the entertainers on stage. It was a proud mommy moment for sure! However, it was a little weird listing to my toddler sing her favorite song when it contains lyrics like, "It's a quarter after one, I"m a little drunk and I need you know" - still one of her very favorite songs to this day, btw.

 As you may have guessed, the Houston rodeo is a tradition in our family - I've been going since I was a little girl - literally every year for as long as I can remember. Today is a special trip though - we've taken James out to the livestock show, carnival, and Agventure, but tonight will be James first actual rodeo & concert! I'm also super stoked that Jason Aldean will be his first concert just like it was Addison's! I'm really excited but a little bit nervous at how he'll react. He gets intimidated a bit easier than his sister ever did.
