Five Question Friday

Hey Hey! It's Friday and I'm so happy this week is almost over!! My weekend is jam packed with some amazing activities and I honestly can't wait to get on with it already!

After being a home owner for three years, we had our first little bump in the road this week. Our water heater went out. Side note: Am I the only one who says "hot water heater?" Someone corrected me saying, Why would you heat hot water? Ugh, whatever. Hey, hot water heater! Thanks for maxing out my recently paid off credit card! You jerk.

Anyway, it's been quite awhile since I've linked up with Mama M. @My Little Life for Five Question Friday so I thought it was about time I get on that.

1) Where do you hide junk when people come over?

Well, you guys don't know this about me, so I might as well just put it out there. I"m a clean freak. HA! LIKE Y'ALL WOULD BELIEVE THAT CRAP. Okay, but really, I'm not big on folks just dropping by. Actually, it's a pet peeve of mine. Call first. Make plans. Don't just stop in. UNLESS you are like BFF/Family (only some family) status. Then you can come see my pig sty and I don't really care. Now, if you call and say you are headed over and my house is especially messy I will take everything to my bedroom, put it on the bed and shut the door. Then I'll clean the kitchen. Voila, clean house. Typically I will clean my house spotless the day before company comes over. Last year while I was preparing James' 2nd birthday party I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get things done before our guests began to arrive. There were still a few dishes in the sink and I just did not have time. Y'all want to know what I did with em? Put 'em in the stove.

2) Do political ads help you decide who you are going to vote for?

No chance. In my opinion, they are wasting their money and making themselves look bad by slandering others.

3) What's your favorite holiday party to host?

I love Thanksgiving!  I get so much joy from planning and preparing a gorgeous meal for my family and friends. I love encouraging everyone to share what they are thankful for. Then, my favorite part, I love crashing on the couch while my hubs watches the football game.

4) You go to an island with your husband and can only take one personal item. What is it?

Okay, is this personal item supposed to be for the both of us? Or just for me? Can he bring his own personal item? I'm bringing my razor y'all. I can't stand to not be freshly shaved, especially if I'm going to be prancing around on a beach/island with my husband - my legs have got to be smooth. Hopefully he can bring a toothbrush or something ;)

5) If you found out your spouse was a Dexter style serial killer (only kills people to save others) would you rat?

Am I one of the very few people who doesn't watch this show? Yes? Oh well. Hmm...would I rat? No, maybe not, but we'd be getting a divorce, STAT. Also, I'd probably go into hiding.

HAPPY FRIDAY Y'ALL!!

  1. Good answers! I don't watch the Dexter show either, so I thought it was a strange question. Have a great weekend!

  2. Hi! I am returning the favor- since you stopped by my blog and followed, I have done the same!

I agree with you on the last question-- It's a tv show then? I had no idea where the whole Dexter style serial killer came from! I just kind of went with the flow on that one :-)

  4. In the stove! Genius!! I'll be keeping that one in mind for later use ;). Or maybe not... My luck I'd forget they were in there and put the oven on preheat for a meal... hahaha!

Thanks for stopping over to my site. Glad to have found yours =)

  5. @Kerry, I had to go with the flow also - I'd heard of the show before but I've never watched it!

@ellejaysays - Is it more difficult having you/your sons birthday on Thanksgiving? My kiddos have birthdays in early October and early November and it's always such a time crunch.

    @the girls - I won't lie - I've totally "preheated" some dirty dishes :)

  6. I love your answers! I do the same thing when I find out company is coming over, toss the junk in the bedroom and clean the kitchen (:
That last question got me.. Half of me would want to rat him out, half of me would be too chicken to do it in fear of me being next haha!

  7. Nope, not the only one! I have never watched Dexter and I saw several others who didn't either. Hehe...

I keep seeing toothbrush and razor on the list and think... DUH! Maybe the island isn't so private and there's a store. hehehe... I should have said knife! Always need those in the wild. Ergh...

    Take care!

  9. See - the stove is the best place for dirty dishes! Just don't forget and preheat it for something else later (not that this has ever happened to me).
