These are just a few of the things that have been stressing me out lately.
I'm an avoider. When things get yucky I ignore them to the best of my abilities hoping like hell the issue at hand will disappear quick fast and in a hurry. What? That's not how it works?
I know..I'm just making it worse on myself!
Today, all of my stresses boiled over. And I cried. One phone conversation with my also stressed out, ticked off, trying his best, yet still getting snappy with me husband sent me over the edge and I cried like my 2 year old at nap time. THREE TIMES.
I wish I could say I felt better because usually a good cry will do the trick but that was not the case today. So tomorrow, I get to wake up and try again and pray for a better outcome.
How do you handle stress?
I'm thinking I should have bought that bottle of wine I was eyeing at the grocery store!

I cry of course! Then after my melt down, if I'm not feeling able to handle the cards I've been dealt, I'll bake cookies (even though that makes a bigger mess), and have fresh baked cookies, a cup of coffee, and take at least half an hour of just doing nothing. The kids call it "Mommy's time out" and we all agree, sometimes I need it. Hope the new day brings renewed strength!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michelle! So far today has been MUCH better.
ReplyDeleteI can't help but think that a batch of cookies & a hot cup of coffee would have really helped me yesterday!

I tend to eat when I'm stressed which therapists say is a big no no. But oh well. I eat.
ReplyDeleteI totally eat when I'm stressed too. I also eat when I'm bored, sad, excited...the list goes on lol :)
